Sometimes life has a way of knocking us down. That’s where friends come in. I have never done one of these pages before, but I think this situation qualifies. My dear friend, Marina Reynolds, has been through a traumatic ordeal. She has been the victim of domestic violence, which we all pray, justice is served accordingly. She was left with three fractures in her back L2-4, and at the time, she also had internal bleeding and continues to have nerve damage to her right leg. She has been struggling since this happened on April 22, 2025. She is not able to work and has lost all health insurance. She struggles to pay her bills and has had to basically flee the county. She has also had leukemia for 23 years which she has to manage. I was a witness to her medical issues during the time she was hurt as I went with her to the ER in Waycross where she was then sent to Savannah Memorial. Marina is making progress slowly and is now able to walk without the aid of a walker or cane, but continues to deal with pain. If you know Marina, she is a strong woman with a gracious heart and is always helping others. I have known her for 25 years and during that time, have formed a forever friendship. That being said…sometimes we all just need a little help from our friends. If you feel led to contribute to help in any way, please do so. Times are hard for everyone, but until we walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, it’s hard to understand really what they are going through. I know my friend has dealt with pain and suffering physically, mentally and emotionally, and now financially, and has done it with grace and dignity and would never ask anyone for help, but I know she needs it. If you can spare anything to help get Marina back on feet again, please do so on this page. Of course, prayers are graciously accepted as well. Let’s rally together to build this special soul back up! The link is listed to contribute. I will be handling things from this angle and I know that Marina would so appreciative for anything you can do. Thank you in advance for your kindness and you can find her on Facebook if you would like to send words of encouragement. She is always writing her own words of encouragement that shows her faith and perseverance. Let’s give some of that back.
