Help Me Fight for My Health: Kidney, Lupus & Diabetes Battle

Hi, my name is Marina Garcia Alaniz .I’m 46 years old and a proud parent of three amazing kids and Two Grandchildren.I’ve been living with type 1 diabetes since 2007, and in 2012, I was also diagnosed with lupus. As if that wasn’t enough, I was diagnosed with kidney disease just about a year ago and now go to dialysis three times a week.

This journey has been tough—physically, emotionally, and financially. I’ve been out of work for over a year and a half while waiting for disability benefits to come through. In the meantime, the cost of doctor visits, prescriptions, and the medical equipment I need to survive continues to rise.
