Running for Solar Power!
Tax deductible
Family, Friends and Colleagues,
With chaffed nips, burning shins, and aching feet - I am proud to announce that I am running the Marin Ultra 50k Trail Run in March.
I will be running to raise money for the non-profit solar energy provider Grid Alternatives.
Grid Alternatives’ mission is to transition the earth to clean, renewable energy in a way that includes everyone, making renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities (https://gridalternatives.org/what-we-do).
They help in three main ways:
1. Helping underserved families save money on their utility bills by providing them with free solar (this is good)
2. Helping transition more homes to sustainable energy sources (this is good for the planet)
3. Job training for solar installation to connect more people to clean energy jobs (this too is thoroughly good)
This is why I have chosen to run; this organization is not only taking care of our fellow human beings but also our planet.
I have pledged to raise at least $5,000 for Grid Alternatives and hope you will find it in your hearts to help support this wonderful cause, too. Any and all donations would be extremely appreciated (just click the donate tab).
Together we can change the world — I’ll do the sweating for you!
Sincerely,
Matthew Needleman
