Marilyn Palomares Kimbrough Benefit Fund

Hello, my name is Terri (Palomares)Tate, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Marilyn (Palomares) Kimbrough.

For those of you who do not know Marilyn, she grew up on the Monterey Peninsula in California and lived there for 35 years. She moved to Checotah, Oklahoma 26 years ago, where she resides with her teenage son. Marilyn is the mother of 2 sons, Travis and Ryan, and four grandchildren who are her whole world.

Two weeks ago, Marilyn was having some serious symptoms that led to a doctor's visit. This last week she received the devastating news that she has been diagnosed with a large cancerous brain tumor covering her frontal lobe, Grade 4 Glioblastoma, a very aggressive and debilitating brain tumor. Very soon, she will begin undergoing radiation five days a week for four weeks and chemotherapy daily for six weeks in an attempt to shrink the tumor. This will require driving 2 hours round trip for treatments for her and I.

It is my desire to raise these funds for her so the family can focus on her everyday needs and care and not be consumed with the stress of overwhelming debt. Marilyn’s life has been completely altered. She is unable to work or drive due to her condition, and her everyday bills are piling up in addition to her medical expenses. We are humbly asking for your financial support to make sure that Marilyn has the best treatment possible, while also providing for the basic needs for herself and her son during this trying and uncertain time.

Marilyn loves the Lord, her family and friends so much and appreciates all the concern, thoughts and prayers that she has already received. At this time the family asks that you please respect their privacy as we come together to care for her during the treatment. Updates will be posted here for anyone who wishes to stay abreast of Marilyn’s progress.
