Marilyn & Rod Groce Covid Relief

Update 08/20/2020: Marilyn has nearly fully recovered at home. It took several weeks. Rod is still in the hospital with other complications now likely unrelated to Covid. In the end, thanks to all of you, we raised $6,670.00! I'll be asking GoFundMe now to get that money to me so I can write Marilyn and Rod a check. Thank you thank you for your kind contribution and support. I know it completely blew Marilyn away and truly touched our hearts.

Marilyn and her husband Rod have contracted Covid-19. They've been married 52 years. Rod is in the hospital and Marilyn is currently at home. Even if neither of them had Covid it would be a very difficult situation having to be separated with no real way to see each other in person due to pandemic restrictions.
Both retired and in their 70s there will be out of pocket expenses they will incur. Marilyn did not ask for this Go Fund Me to be set up but I did ask her if it was okay if I did so.
The purpose of this Go Fund Me is to help bridge the gap between whatever insurance/medicare etc will cover and what it won't. The last thing I want them to have is financial stress on top of the multiple stresses they are battling to fight this disease.
Rod is a Marine Corp Veteran where he served as a demolition expert. Marilyn, a Mother, Wife, Sister and friend, worked in the service field in her many years of work life. In her retirement I asked Marilyn to be one of my Coaches, a position she still holds. She has been so valuable and has helped so many people improve their health and life.
This Go Fund Me doesn't do enough but it's the least we can do. I hope you will donate anything you can, no matter how small. It all helps. Thank you.

2. Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for (Marilyn's employer and friend)
3. How the funds will be spent (be as specific as possible) - (medical expenses incurred)
4. Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the fundraiser to the person that they're intended for
If a beneficiary has been added, make sure your story includes the beneficiary’s name and relation to your cause (Once we close out the fund raiser I'll cut Marilyn a check for the full amount we raised)
