Marilu Volkert (Salanga)

Marilu Volkert, 50 of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at her home.

Born Thursday, January 6, 1972 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Marilu was the daughter of Arturo Salanga and the late Iluminada Salanga.

Marilu was raised in Old Bridge, and was a graduate of Cedar Ridge High School. Marilu went on to a career in healthcare, before staying home to raise her sons.

Marilu was an active part of her sons' lives. She was present at all sporting events, and a PTA mother. Marilu could always be found supporting the local Old Bridge Hockey team, where her son David played.

Marilu is survived by her beloved husband Michael, by her loving sons, David Kish Jr., and Michael Curtis Volkert Jr., by her loving father Arturo Salanga, by her caring brother Arthur Salanga, and by her caring niece Alyssa Salanga.

Funds will go directly to supporting her children Mikey Jr and David.
