In 2021, after 26 years at ASAE, our beloved Marilu Morada (aka "MamaLu") will be retiring to spend quality time with her family. Mama-Lu has been the chief advocate, curator, and manager of DELP, the Diversity Executive Leadership Program. As you know, Marilu was instrumental in the launch of ASAE's DELP program back in 2000, and with her guidance and support it has grown to a network of over 200+ scholars.
MamaLu's DELP family is creating a few opportunities to engage and celebrate her. We wanted to ensure that the entire ASAE Community has an opportunity to show their love and appreciation for Marilu's 26 years of service to ASAE, and her 20 years of support to the DELP community.
This GoFundMe is an ASAE-wide request to make Marilu's retirement extra memorable. Financial funds will provide options to pursue her bucket list and fulfill her heart’s desires during her retirement. We are setting a goal of at least $10,000 to ensure that MamaLu can pursue a myriad of options, including going home to visit her family.
The deadline to make a donation is 11:59 PM EST on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
The gift will be presented to her at a surprise virtual gathering hosted by the ASAE DELP Scholars on March 26, 2021 at 6:30 PM ET.
