—pls read update— Marigold’s Surgery

My name is Hannah Williams. My partner, Patrick, and I are the owners of two 2.5 year old sister cats, Marigold and Jade. Over the weekend, we took Marigold in for testing due to a distended abdomen and increasing lethargy. Through various imaging, vets determined that Marigold has a scary amount of blood surrounding a lesion,  contributing to a low red blood cell count. Even through advanced imaging, vets cannot locate the organ with which this lesion is associated because of the encapsulated blood and displacement within her abdomen.  Per veterinarians at two hospitals, I have learned that the nature of Marigold's case is extremely unusual and puts her in critical condition. As a result, the only option to attempt to save Marigold's life is immediate surgery in efforts to locate and remove this monster within her.  Through an absolute glimmer of  hope, we have taken on the decision to proceed with surgery.  

I have been put in an extremely vulnerable situation to ask for help but am doing so because I do not have another option. Together, my partner and I have put out $5k for imaging, two blood transfusions, and two overnight stays, along with other various testing that ruled out possible diagnoses from day one. I am not expecting to reach my goal in such a short amount of time but anything will help as this surgery is extremely costly.

If you know me, you know that Marigold and Jade are my world. Marigold has been at my side through some of the lowest points in my life. She has been a glimmer of hope for me and I promised her I would be the same for her.
