Hello everyone,

My name is Sarah but I go by Marie, and I am reaching out to share my story in the hopes that you'll consider helping me achieve a lifelong dream. I am working hard to open "Golden Hour Vintage," a vintage thrift store located in Chandler Mall, where our motto is "Second-hand doesn't mean second best."

Growing up was incredibly challenging. My family struggled financially, relying on Section 8 housing and government assistance. Despite our circumstances, my mom did everything she could to provide for us, and I'm deeply grateful for her strength and sacrifices. But it was still tough, and I battled severe depression throughout my childhood. School became my escape, my safe haven, and I excelled academically, earning multiple scholarships upon graduating high school.

Life took a different turn when I became a young mother right after graduation. Juggling college, work, and motherhood proved overwhelming. Driven by the desire to give my child a better life, I made choices—some good, some not—that taught me hard but invaluable lessons. Today, I am the proud mother of four amazing children, who mean the world to me, and I have a wonderful husband, Lee, who provides unwavering love and support.

Opening "Golden Hour Vintage" isn't just about financial stability for my family; it's about creating a lasting legacy for my children. It’s a chance to finally pursue my passion for history and vintage treasures, offering beautifully preserved items that have stood the test of time. It's also about giving back, promoting sustainability, and creating a community space where everyone can appreciate that "second-hand doesn't mean second best."

I've always been fiercely independent, never expecting help and always doing things on my own. But today, I'm humbly asking for your support. Any contribution, even as little as $1, brings me closer to achieving this dream and creating a brighter future for my family.
