Please give me a few moments of your time to tell you about my lovely wife, Marie. To our family and friends you already know her story, yet there is more to her than you see. The woman I know demonstrates a limitless amount of courage and strength every day. She wakes up, takes a shower, gets dressed and starts another day no matter how she feels. Marie has Multiple Sclerosis. This disease attacks her body and makes simple tasks tiring and painful. http://www.nationalmssociety.org/
Marie relies on her powered chair to get her around the house. Without it she is forced to use a manual wheelchair. This prevents her from carrying anything and she struggles to move around. This tires her out even more and makes simple tasks very difficult. She has a powered chair now but it is on its last leg. The battery won’t hold a charge and the battery charger is not working. We are on its third control unit. She really needs a new powered chair. A chair that can be transported in a car as well as useful around the house.
We have found a perfect chair. It meets all of Marie’s needs. It can get her around the house with ease. It allows her to carry things and not tire her out. It can even be folded up and put inside a car or an airplane.
Unfortunately its cost is beyond our means. We need some financial help to purchase it. The powered chair is an Airhawk electric wheelchair. It is lightweight, foldable, and can easily fit in a car. Any financial help will be greatly appreciated. We have looked into several companies that sell foldable electric wheelchairs and none of them deal with insurance so we are on our own.

We are seeking $4,000. The chair is on sale right now but we do not know how long the sale is running. It is $1,987 currently. If we reach that amount and it is still on sale we will then purchase it.
