Marie's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
This campaign is for our mom, Marie, who is a warm, bubbly, active lady.  She was hit by a hit-and-run driver while walking on the afternoon of Sunday, May 29th in S. Salem, OR.

Marie was taken to Salem General Hospital and was diagnosed with a serious concussion with intracranial bleeding (brain bleed), a fractured ankle, as well as severe bruising.  She has been in the hospital for 5 days and will be going to a rehabilitation facility until her mobility improves to the point she can go home.  They currently estimating about 2 months before she can return to work and as much as a year for a full neurological recovery.

Since this was caused by a hit-and-run, we are unable to utilize the driver's insurance to assist with medical expenses and lost wages. There are no leads regarding the car that struck her, except it was white, a sedan (late 90s), and heading west on Boone road at about 5:30pm on May 29th.  If you have any information that could help, please let the Salem PD know.

Any donations will go to help cover hospital bills, lost wages and the continued care and therapy to ensure she makes a full recovery.

Your kindness, well wishes, and prayers would mean the world to our family, as we navigate this challenging and unexpected event.
