Hi, my name is Mariela and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart.

Ten years ago, I rescued my dog Sawyer from a shelter in Tennessee — but the truth is, he rescued me just as much. Since then, Sawyer has been a constant source of comfort, loyalty, and love for me and my children. He’s more than a pet — he’s family.

Sawyer is a sweet, well-behaved dog who has brought so much joy to our lives. Sadly, he is now going through a very tough time. Just today, he suddenly started losing strength in his left back leg. I rushed him to the emergency vet at VCA in Shelton, and after an initial evaluation, the vet told me he needs an MRI to understand what’s going on — possibly something affecting his nerves or spine.

The cost for the MRI alone is $5,000, which is more than I can afford right now. I’m doing everything I can, but I need help to give Sawyer a chance to get the care he needs. Your donation will go directly toward his MRI and any further treatment that may be necessary.
