Mariela!! We are still fighting

 

Dear Friends & family,

I am heartbroken to inform that Mariela’s cancer is back; We though we beat it,  that she was ok and everything was behind us as a bad nightmare. But after few months of pain, difficulties to walk and another round of tests in late January shows that the cancer is back. Unfortunately this time is stronger, Mariela is already in wheelchair and trying to get back on her feet again.

She is hoping to start a new chemotherapy program stronger than the last one. The costs for the treatment (8 rounds)  is higher than expected and put the whole family again in a very uncertain financial situation.

I know we all are living through difficult & challenging times, but I need to appeal to your support in any way possible. Please help Mariela to fight this terrible illness…

Familia y amigos,

Con el corazón destrozado  les informo que el cáncer de Mariela ha regresado; Pensamos que lo superamos, y que ella estaba bien y  todo había quedado atrás como una terrible pesadilla . Pero después de varios  meses de dolor, dificultades para caminar y otra ronda de pruebas en el mes de enero, se descubre que el cáncer ha regresado.

Lamentablemente esta vez es más fuerte, y Mariela ya está en silla de ruedas tratando de volver a ponerse de pie.

Ella espera comenzar un nuevo programa de quimioterapia más fuerte que el anterior.  El costo del tratamiento (8 rondas) es más alto de lo esperado y vuelve a poner a toda la familia en una situación financiera muy incierta.

Sé que todos estamos viviendo tiempos difíciles y desafiantes, pero necesito pedir su apoyo de cualquier manera posible. Por favor ayuda a Mariela a combatir esta terrible enfermedad…
