Help Mariela & Julio Pabón's Family Rebuild After the Fire
Donation protected
Our beloved daughter Mariela, her husband Julio Pabon, and their children, Francesca and Luca, have faced an unimaginable tragedy. They recently survived the Eaton Fire, one of the worst wildfires in our nation’s history. They escaped their beloved Altadena community with only their lives and dog, Coco.
While they are deeply grateful to be safe, their lives have been turned upside down. The home they poured their hearts into remains standing but is uninhabitable due to toxic smoke and damage caused by the urban fire surrounding them. Everything that made their house a home—their children’s favorite parks, the close-knit neighborhood, and the vibrant community they loved so much—has been devastated.
Facing the grim news that it will take many years for the area to be safe enough for their family to return, they’re left grappling with the overwhelming challenges of:
- Securing temporary housing costs while still paying their mortgage.
- Replacing essentials damaged by smoke and toxicity.
- Uncertainty with insurance claims and when or if they can return home.
Despite everything, Mariela and Julio remain resilient and focused on creating a sense of stability and hope for their children. Their determination is inspiring, but they can’t do this alone.
Your contribution—no matter the amount—will help them rebuild their lives and care for their children. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to this incredible family. Let’s show them they’re not alone in this fight. We are committed to keeping all donors updated on their journey and progress.
Together, we can help them rebuild, recover, and thrive again.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
