Marie Spartali was an eminent pre-Raphaelite artist. She married the American polymath William Stillman and her remains are interred with his in Brookwood Cemetery. Marie died on 7th March 1927 and so next March will be the centenary of her death.

For some years, I have been tending her grave and, as might be expected, the condition of the headstones is in rather a poor condition. I would very much like to raise funds to have the headstones renovated in time for her centenary and would be delighted if any like minded individuals would be happy to contribute.
