My Mother-in-law Marie Price Was Betrayed, I Need Your Help

Donation protected
Friends and Family,

Marie Price is my husband Warren Price's mom. Warren left us tragically and unexpectedly in 2020 at 58 years old. His mom was so special to him because it was just the two of them taking on the world together until we got married. When Warren and I got engaged, Marie promised me that she would be a good mother-in-law, and she kept her promise. I come from the kind of family that is big on celebrations and get-togethers, and Marie, though unused to that, showed up for everything and as a result was beloved by my family.

She was Nana to her two grandsons and even adopted my niece as a granddaughter and gave them all lots of love. Until her passing on May 15th, 2025, she was beloved by her sorority sisters. She was also a faithful member and servant of Siloam Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY. for over 50 years.

Because she extended so much love, she was devastatingly betrayed by a man whom she called her Godson since he was nine years old. Both she and Warren treated him like family; Warren called him his brother until the day he died. Neither one of them knew that while they were trusting him as Marie's attorney, who was also in charge of her finances, he was robbing her blind.

Marie was very private about her personal affairs, so I did not find out about any of this until a year after Warren's passing when Marie's bills were not being paid, her house was in foreclosure, her bank accounts were being overdrawn, her pension funds were stolen and her life insurance was cancelled. I was able to work with the NYS Attorney General's Elder Fraud Division to bring him to justice in 2023, and he is now in prison. Because of this, I have had to use thousands of dollars of my own personal funds to make sure that she had a working boiler, an electric chair lift and the services she needed to be cared for and even was able to throw a 90th birthday luncheon for her last year with her favorites, pancakes, ice cream, and mimosas!

But now I have minimal funds to ensure that she is sent off properly, and she aged out of being eligible to get any life insurance before I stepped in to help. So I need your help. Anything that you can donate will help. If you knew Warren or know our sons, you can understand how heartbreaking this situation is for them and for me.
