Une histoire de violation de propriété intellectuelle

Je suis une illustratrice qui réside à Montréal.

En 2018, Eureka Shoes, une compagnie portugaise de chaussures a copié deux de mes illustrations pour une collection complète nommée Manifesto par Filipe Sousa. J'ai poursuivi la compagnie et le juge a plaidé en ma faveur mais malheureusement, la compagnie a fait une demande d'insolvabilité en avril 2020. Je ne toucherai donc aucune indemnité malgré le verdict. J’ai dépensé un total de 6000$ canadiens pour la poursuite, ce qui pour moi représente un très gros montant. Une telle situation peut arriver à n’importe quel artiste.

A story about violation of intellectual propriety

I'm a Montreal based illustrator.

In 2018, Eureka Shoes a big Portuguese shoe copied two of my illustrations for entire collection called Manifesto by Filipe Sousa. I went to court and the judge decided in my favor. Despite the verdict, I will receive no indemnities because the company field for insolvency in April 2020. I spent $6000 on the suit and for me it is a lot of money. This can happened to any artist.
