Marie and Brian Need Our Help!

First of all, Marie and Brian are proud people - the type who would rather keep problems to themselves, and they've been doing that since the day Marie fell....
In November of last year, Marie took a fall and broke her shin bone in half. She also suffered a broken bone behind her knee. All of this, right before the winter season in Ludlow was to take full affect.
Marie had a very good job at the Loft in Ludlow and was looking forward to the season starting, but obviously was not able to work throughout the whole season.
She is still unable to work, and most recently went to the doctor to check the progress of the bones healing. Bad news for Marie, the bones are not connecting together. There is a strong possibility of surgery, however she will learn more the week of April 3rd when she consults with various doctors.
Since Marie is not able to work, the only salary coming in is that of Brian's. The plan was never to only have one salary coming in when they bought the house and since her fall and inability to work, they have been experiencing financial distress.
There was great hope that during this most recent doctor visit, Marie would receive some good news. This setback is causing them further financial stress with the inability of being able to work and the future not looking good, relative to her ability to return to work anytime soon. Bills are piling up and while they're trying to pay everything they can with the salary that they have coming in, they're really under water and there's no change to that any time soon.
Marie and Brian are very dear friends to so many of us and we are trying to help them during this very difficult time.
