My mom Maribel was a beautiful mother and father to three kids and a grandmother to 4 beautiful amazing kids. It is unfortunate that three years ago we were doing this for my grandmother . My mother suffered from a asthma attack on 3/24/2019. She fell in my sisters arms asking her for help.As the ambulance was arriving to the scene she had stopped breathing it took roughly 7 to 8 minutes for them to be able to even start treating her which meant that the amount of oxygen that wasnt getting to the brain caused significant swelling. By the time she got to the hospital she lost pulse and they had to resecitate again. As the day continued she only got worse were each organ was failing. Once the brain is injured it cant be recovered. The only working part of her brain was the stem. I had to make a decision with my brother and sisters help as well as my family on taking the machines off. She passed away this morning holding my hand at 6:45a.m. just my mom and I.Those that knew my mom knew how happy and funny she was. She knew every type of Spanish lol. I am shocked in all the prayers and amount of love and support we are receiving. I want to thank you, we aren't asking for much as times are tough things need to happen quickly.
