I’m 45 years old and was diagnosed in September 2014 with colon cancer which has moved into my liver.  I did a full dose of chemo for six months  and then a year on maintenance.  I just found out one of my liver tumors has started to grow again.  I am going back on full Chemo.   There is no cure since my liver was covered with more than 20 tumors.  

 Because of this I had to sell my condo and move in with my mom.   This has changed my life in good and bad ways.  I now realize how important it is to not waste time and live life and put good out into the world.   Money is hard to come by for things that are not necessary.  

When I was first diagnosed I made a bucket list of things  that I have always wanted to do and thought there would be time to get to.   As I continue to struggle with chemo, I realize I need to start living and doing those things I put off for forty years.     

My friend told me about gofundme and at first I was like no, I don’t want to ask for donations, it still makes me very uncomfortable but I also realize I don’t know how much time I have on this earth and to be able to accomplish some of the things on my Bucket list would mean everything to me.  The top two items on my list are cage diving with the sharks in Baja California, and visiting the sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica.   I have been trying to put away any extra money when I can but it is going very slow.    Having help to experience those moments would mean the world to me, more than words could express.
