Hello friends! We’re starting this GoFundMe on behalf of our beloved friend and animal lover, Maria Agrinsonis, owner of Maria’s Pet Shop and Grooming in the Bronx.

Many of you have become loyal customers of Maria’s over the years and know how much she simply adores animals. You may also know that Maria has had a lifelong dream of starting her own farm with a main goal of rescuing horses from slaughter. 

Over the past year, Maria’s had some health challenges which caused her to shut down the shop for weeks at a time, resulting in a significant loss of income. Yet through it all, Maria maintained her positive attitude and generosity and still managed to care for the horses and animals she had up until that point. But now she needs our help with the legal costs needed for the creation of her non-profit, Maria’s Safe HAVEN Farm. Her dream is to build a sanctuary in Wallkill, NY for children and adults to visit, providing equine therapy and a serene getaway for those in the inner city.
