Maria's Legacy: Ryan's Education Fund

Maria passed away unexpectedly on 12/21. She was a fighter in every sense – after bravely beating breast cancer, she faced stage 4 lung cancer with the same resilience and grace. Against the odds, she entered remission, and we were filled with hope, believing we had more precious time with her. Her sudden passing from a heart attack has left us devastated and heartbroken. Maria was doing so well, and her strength had given us all a sense of peace and optimism.

Maria’s grandson, Ryan, was the light of her life and her greatest joy. The love they shared was something truly special – if Maria could have spent every second by his side, she would have. They were inseparable, sharing laughter, lessons, and adventures. Whether they were fishing or exploring the outdoors, Maria poured her heart into every moment with him. She took pride in teaching him, encouraging his curiosity, and celebrating all his little victories. Maria’s dream was to watch Ryan grow, cheer him on at every milestone, and support him in building a bright and happy future.

Her passing leaves an unimaginable void, but we know that Maria’s legacy lives on in Ryan. As we grieve this tremendous loss, we want to honor her in a way that reflects the love and dedication she had for her grandson. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to Ryan’s 529 education fund – something Maria cared deeply about. She believed that education was a gift that could change his life, and she worked hard to ensure he had every opportunity to succeed.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help build the future Maria envisioned for Ryan – a future filled with the same love, hope, and determination she carried throughout her life.
