Life long best friends lose everything in Hurricane IMRA.
Hi Every one, My name is Nick Pluscht from Tampa Fl and I'm trying to raise fund for my Family.
Maria and Norma, 74 and 76, are permanent Florida Keys residents who lost everything except their two dogs and the few belongings they evacuated with. Although they have not yet been allowed in to view their property in person, NOAA satellite images show their house, 1 car, boat, and countless personal belongings were all destroyed during Irma. Not much is expected to be salvageable once US1 is reopened to Big Pine Key since their roof was ripped off, and much of the property was underwater from storm surge.
Both work full-time, Maria is a park ranger, and Norma manages a local store, however it is unknown when they will be able to return to work due to the destruction of their places of employment. It is also unknown where they will live as they try to rebuild their lives.
These two would give or do anything they could to help a person in need and have helped countless others over the years. Now facing their own crisis, it is time to return the favor. They are hoping US 1 will open and they will be allowed back into their property this week to start the cleanup process. Any funds raised will be send directly to Maria's bank account via Gofundme and will help them offset the cost of rebuilding, household goods, and reestablishing themselves. Stay KEYS STRONG!
