Hello! I’m Jocelyn, Marianne’s daughter. I am setting up a fundraiser for my Mom to help her with the financial costs of dental implants. Let me explain.. My Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in May of 2020. She immediately started her cancer treatment, which involved quite a bit of radiation. The good news is… with the radiation and cancer medications she is on, the cancer is under control! When she had her last PET scan, the cancer no longer “lights up”. This is a blessing from God, and we are so grateful! Her oncologist has said, although she won’t ever be “cancer-free”, she is doing amazing!! The not so good news.. the reason why I’m here. With all of the treatments she’s had, especially the radiation, it has taken it’s toll on her teeth. Recently, she had been in a lot of pain due to infection and inflammation. She made the decision to have all of her teeth removed and get the process going for dentures. Thankfully, her insurance covers the dentures at 100%! Another blessing we are thankful for! The dentist has recommended 2 lower implants that insurance won’t cover at all. These 2 implants will help anchor the dentures when she is wearing them, and not allow them to slip around. It will be a lot more comfortable for her to wear if she has these implants. The cost of these are $5000. I am asking for your help, to cover this cost. We have seen so many people be so gracious and generous in the past to help my Mom when she was first diagnosed. We are incredibly thankful for all of you! No amount is too small or too big.
