A HEALTH UPDATE FROM MARIANNE: Hello Everyone!
Thank you so much for you kind donation and your thoughtful and encouraging words. Since, we have gotten started with the GFM, I have learned that that my IVC filter was not effective and was not preventing the blood clot from getting through. As a result. I have had to try multiple types of blood thinners to try to dissolve the clots. If this works, It would improve my oxygen intake and I would be able to get off of this oxygen machine and breath on completely on my own.
It has been recommended that enroll in a clinical trial at The Johns Hopkins Cancer Institute. What would this do for me? It could potentially completely eliminate the blood clots, it could prevent or slow down the cancer from advancing.
I am seeing an oncologist that has recommended a chemo pill which will also help combat metastasis.
At this time, Brandy has been helping me daily. I still have a good appetite, but do not seem to be able to put on any weight. My biggest challenge is oxygen intake and getting up and down the stairs.
I am also pursuing a nutritionist that can help me with eating and the proper nutritional intake.
I hope this gives you an idea of my progress and what you day to day living looks like.
I am hopeful that my condition will improve.
