This fundraiser is to help Mariana Roberts raise money for a Video Capsule Endoscopy, also known as Pill Cam Endoscopy. Mariana was recently diagnosed with severe internal bleeding in the lower gastro-intestinal (GI) tract. This test will help her determine the cause of the intestinal bleeding. The Video Capsule Endoscopy is a safer alternative to a traditional Endoscopy and does not have the same risk of damage to the GI tract. This procedure is not covered by her insurance plan but is necessary to fully diagnose the cause of her internal bleeding.
