We desperately need your help.
Let me introduce you to a dear friend Mariana and her darling young family. She has just received the worst news imaginable and, by telling her story, I hope to convince you to lend some support.
Mariana lives on the idyllic Isle of Skye. She moved there as a young girl and it has been her home ever since.
She adores the beauty, tranquillity and simplicity of the island.
Andre came into her life in 2002 and together they have three beautiful children.
Miya is a thoughtful, intelligent creative 10 year old. She has true Scottish flowing locks and a steely determination in everything she does.
Ethan & Caleb are twin boys aged 7. They are full of life, funny to the max and utterly adorable.
They are a perfect little family living in a perfect location.
On 14th November 2018, Mariana, age just 44, received the most devastating news a mother could ever receive. She was given the shocking diagnosis of inoperable pancreatic cancer.
Symptoms take their time to arise with this wretched disease so the tumour is of a size and location which means removal is not an option and it has already spread to her liver and possibly stomach lining. The outlook is a tough pill to swallow. With an palliative operation followed by a tough regime of chemotherapy, the crushing prediction of 12-15 months lifespan.
Everyone is numb and simply devastated.
Mariana is one of the kindest, most selfless people I know. She is always first to offer her time, love and support for anything and always without expecting it anything in return
The next few months are going to extremely hard on everyone.
We would like to raise money to help ease the financial burdens on her family so they are able to focus on supporting Mariana through her treatment and making ever important memories.
If you can contribute or support in anyway, however small, it would be truly, truly appreciated.
