It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Sister Mariame Toure Sylla. We offer our heartfelt condolences to her family.

Sister Mariame Toure Sylla was not only an esteemed member of our community, but also a beloved teacher in her school, among her friends. Our community lost her in a horrific crime. In the face of such a terrible tragedy, no words are enough to subside our anger and dispel our sorrow. Your presence at the funeral of our deceased Sister Mariame will give comfort to the family that they are not alone in their grief.

Funeral prayer will be held on Friday, September the 8th at 2:30pm after the Jum’ah prayer at Diyanet Center of America Mosque, 9610 Good Luck Rd Lanham MD 20706.

Burial will follow the funeral prayer at Columbia Memorial Park at 3:45 p.m.
