My family and I are devastated to share that after a long period of searching, we recently learned that my little sister, Mariam, passed away at just 19 years old.

Mariam went missing in 2023, and for two years, we held onto hope that she would find her way back home. We never gave up looking for her or praying for her return. Sadly, we just learned that she had passed in New York not long after she went missing, and due to delays and failures in communication, our family was not notified until now.

Mariam was a beautiful soul who faced challenges but had so much light and love to give. She was our daughter, sister, and friend, and she deserved to live a full life surrounded by those who loved her. Now, our family is left not only grieving her loss, but also working to bring her home so she can be laid to rest with the dignity and love she deserves.
