Mariah (MB) Squires

It is truly unbelievable that just 10 days ago, Mariah "MB" Squires, was a determined, larger than life, and perfectly healthy teenager. Mariah was excelling in school, enjoying her friends, and keeping her parents on their toes. She had just celebrated her 15th birthday.
More than anything, she had been looking forward to her first high school softball game as catcher, something she had practiced and anticipated for the past 12 years. As most of you reading this know, Mariah became ill while on an overnight DECA trip with Alma High School. What started as a slight cough quickly progressed during a 24 hour period. She was hospitalized with Pneumonia the evening she returned. The first 6 days she underwent rigorous treatment at a local hospital. As her condition continued to worsen a decision was made to life flight her to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Intensive Care Unit. Due to the critical nature of her illness, Mariah has been placed on a machine that breathes for her and allows her lungs to rest and heal. As of yesterday her condition showed little improvement but her highly specialized Healthcare Team is hopeful that her condition will improve over the next several days and weeks.
Having witnessed the ongoing demonstration of love through gifts, food, and caring messages during this grave and frightening time, it is easy to see that the Squire’s Family is deeply loved and respected in their community, church, and places of employment. This GoFundMe account is being initiated for Mariah because numerous people have asked how they can give to help cushion the tremendous ongoing costs associated with her healthcare, and loss of work as her parents remain perseveringly at her bedside. Most of all, the Squires Family (Rod, Angie, Felicia, Mariah) covet your prayers and are comforted knowing that believers from the East to West coast are praying for Mariah’s healthy recovery. In Jesus name we have confidence that He will heal her body back to 100%. Thank you for your continuing prayers and support.
