Help Mariachi Veritas Go To Competition

We are Mariachi Veritas de Harvard, Harvard University's one and only mariachi band. Mariachi Veritas is a completely student run group that plays mariachi music, a traditional genre of Mexican music, at events around Harvard and the Greater Boston area.

 

In December of 2021, our group plans on attending and competing at the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza, one of the largest mariachi competitions in the United States. We are a completely student run band funded solely by our efforts. In order to attend the competition, we need all the help we can get with raising money to meet our goal. All money donated will go towards: travel expenses (flights-MA to TX, vehicles, Ubers, etc.), food, registration, trajes, and lodging for fifteen members for three days. Our band has been unable to attend a competition due to financial limitations and the pandemic, but this is our chance to represent Harvard University, and more importantly, mariachi tradition and culture.
