Mariachi Club: Chapter 2 New Charro Suits

Hola, my name is Nataly Benton. Most students at our school know me as Maestra or Maestra Benton. I currently teach second-grade dual immersion at Jordan Elementary school in Whittier, CA. Last October (2022) I started a Mariachi Club at our school for students in grades 4-6. The goal of the club is to provide equitable access to music, language and cultural knowledge for students through musical education. We started with 9 violin students and now have a total of 17 students! We are hoping to raise $6,500 for new Charro suits and boots for all students. In doing so, I will be able to provide these items at no cost to our participating families. Please consider helping our club raise the funds for our Cinco de mayo Mariachi Club performance.
