I am María Bandres, from San Juan de los Morros, Venezuela.
I am 22 years old and I am in consultations in the Hospital “Ortopédico Infantil”, located in Caracas, Venezuela, in search of being able to improve myself and get back myself to life, to work and to have it of the most normal possible.
I arrived in this situation by an unfortunate automobile accident, and I have already undergone by 5 surgeries satisfactorily (3 of them in the hip, 1 maxilofacial and 1 in the lung).
Because I am subjected to many physical limitations (such as not being able to walk well, stooping, climbing stairs) and adding to the constant danger due to the severity of the hip fracture, I need to urgently replace the hip with a prosthesis called "synergy Non-cemented primary, metal polyethylene head # 36 ".
I require a surgical intervention, budgeted for Bs. 7,587,105 for the fees (USD 1,300 approx.), and an approximate Bs. 11,000,000 for the prosthesis (USD $1,800 approx.). That is why I’m asking you in a respectful and urgent way of your help, any kind of economic collaboration, because at the moment I do not have any type of insurance or financial aid to cover the expenses. At the same time, the foundation gave me the opportunity until June 28th of this year, to raise funds for the operation; Otherwise I would miss the appointment and would enter in a waiting list again, complicating the situation much more.
I am a young fighter who has a faith that has helped me to continue every day battling with this hard situation wanting to simply live with the most normality possible, to be able to exercise my career that I like so much and studied to graduate Cum Laude, to be able to help my mother who is my only family with whom I now count and a younger brother who is still studying.

Debido a que estoy sometida a muchas limitaciones físicas (entre ellas no poder caminar bien, agacharse, subir escaleras) y sumandole el peligro constante a raíz de la gravedad de la fractura de la cadera, necesito reemplazar urgentemente la cadera por una prótesis denominada “synergy no cementada primaria, metal polietileno cabeza #36”.
Requiero de una intervención quirúrgica, presupuestada por Bs. 7.587.105 por los honorarios, y un aproximado de Bs. 11.000.000 por la prótesis. Es por ello que solicitó de manera respetuosa y urgente de tu ayuda, de cualquier tipo de colaboración económica, porque actualmente no cuento con ningún tipo de seguro ni ayuda financiera para cubrir los gastos. Al mismo tiempo, la fundación me dio la oportunidad hasta el 28 de junio del presente año, para recaudar los fondos para la operación; de no ser así perdería la cita, y entraría en una lista de espera nuevamente, complicando mucho más la situación.
Soy una joven luchadora que tiene una fe que me ha ayudado a seguir cada día batallando con esta dura situación queriendo simplemente vivir con la mayor normalidad posible, poder ejercer mi carrera que tanto me gusta y estudié para graduarme Cum Laude, poder ayudar a mi mama que es mi única familia con la que cuento ahora y un hermano menor que aún estudia.
