It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of my beloved mother-in-law, Maria-Ascension Jimenez Moreno — lovingly known as Ascen. After a sudden and aggressive cancer spread to her liver, she left this world far too soon at only 67 years old.
Just months ago, Ascen was healthy and full of life, and her loss has left our family heartbroken. In her younger years, before marriage, she devoted herself to mission work in America, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and faith. Later, she became the heart of her family — faithfully supporting her husband in his mission work in Rome Italy, and carrying her loved ones through challenges with her love, patience, and resilience.
Because so much of their lives were dedicated to serving others, financial resources are limited. Ascen had just retired and was preparing to receive retirement benefits, but those will no longer be available to the family. The suddenness of her illness and passing has left us unprepared for funeral, memorial and other urgent expenses.
I was blessed to know Ascen not only as my mother-in-law, but truly as a mother to me as well. What struck me most was the way she lived her role as a mother so beautifully — always present for her children, always attentive to their needs, and always ready with comfort and support. That same love and attentiveness extended to me, and I will forever cherish the gift of having her in my life.
With a heavy heart, I am asking for your support during this difficult time. Any contribution will help ease the financial burden on her husband and children, allowing them to grieve and honor Ascen’s life without the added weight of financial stress.
If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this page. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family as we celebrate Ascen’s memory and mourn her loss.
