What do you do when you hear those dreaded words…? You may have cancer…
That is what Maria heard on that day in March. She found out she may have cancer. As you can imagine, lots of thoughts and feelings go through you when you hear it. Maria was no different. The doubts and fears come up. How long do I have? What can I do? Is there any hope?
And what are the options everyone hears? Radiation and chemo-therapy. These methods come from the idea that to save your body, you need to kill your body. Sounds kind of crazy isn’t it? And these two options are the suggested treatment by our medical system.
Maria didn’t like the sound of that… killing yourself to keep yourself alive? So, she started researching and exploring.
She found there are so many options out there that people don’t usually hear about. And the medical community (and many of us) think will not work. Maria started with a diet change. Since cancer loves sugar and salt, she took to a vegan diet called the Gerson Method. Juicing 8 times a day! And that takes time. A lot of it each day, freshly juicing. She started getting into more of a sleep routine and being away from blue light. She started doing more transformational work to improve her mindset. To discover her fears and what might be causing her cancer.
When you explore other options, so many people think you’re crazy. Imagine how you would feel when you tell someone you are using a juicing diet to help minimize it. All the times you get judged and told “that won’t work”.
We are raising money to cover the expenses of travel, lodging, car rental from Charlotte, North Carolina to Flagstaff, Arizona for Immunotherapy. Then off to San Diego for Cryoablation. What fancy words! We are increasing her immune system to fight more efficiently. Then doing a procedure where they insert a thin needle and freeze thaw the cancer tumors, killing them.
We are also using the money raised to pay our regular bills during this time. As you can imagine, paying out of pocket for doctors, medicines, special foods for juicing, that adds up too.
Maria is the most passionate stand for people’s greatness and families I have ever known. Yes, I am totally biased, she is the love of my life and partner. And, she has supported literally thousands of people and volunteered hundreds of hours through Landmark and coaching.
