Maria's Breath of Fresh Air

Maria Romano Speer is in desperate need of a double lung transplant and is currently waiting on the transplant list at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.   Although the past few years have been full of many life-altering challenges, we are all hopeful that she will be able to receive the gift of life - a healthy pair of lungs.  Maria is a single mother who has always put the needs of everyone else before her own.  Six years ago, she was diagnosed with advanced stage COPD.  As a result, this disease has robbed her of the type of life that she deserves.  While life continues to deliver unfair pain and anguish to Maria, she continues to tirelessly fight this disease.  She has shown a tremendous amount of will and desire to live.  Needless to say, this has been a tough battle for both Maria and her incredibly supportive family.  We are asking for any type of donation to help off-set the costs that have not been covered by insurance.  We understand that this year has been one of the most difficult years to get through so even if all you have to donate is a thought or a prayer, we are grateful.
