Maria Villa passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and husband on October 1st, 2021 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.

 

We watched our mother fight hard during her battle with colon cancer for over 2 years. She is the strongest person we will ever know, and her passion for family, our pets, and life in general did not falter even in the darkest of times.

 

Our mom fought long and hard until the very end and we are relieved to know that she is no longer suffering.

 

Every year, she donated money towards cancer research in honour of our grandfather, her father Rocco Cantore. We are now doing the same for her.
