Maria Varela’s Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
My mom as her friends and family known her to be a young strong women/ mother & grandmother so full of life. Joyful easy going she is definitely one of a kind. As you guys may know already my Mom was hospitalized November 20th she had a hemorrhage stroke which caused a artery to rupture in the brain causing a bleed due to high blood pressure and also being a diabetic. A month prior to the stroke my mother went to the e.r because she started to have numbness in her hand while at work. That’s when she found out about her conditions I mentioned earlier. My mom had to under go surgery for the chronic bleed it was successful. She also had to get a Trach collar and a feeding tube put in. She was put on the ventilator and was soon to be on the road to recovery. She developed other conditions due to being dependent on the vent and bedridden she was receiving total care. My mom put up a fight she was able to over come the obstacles that where put in her path. In these past 7months she had two cardiac arrest. Her first cardiac arrest set her back but she was still fighting and seem to be recovering well. Once she had her second cardiac arrest on the 31st of January she began having Seizure like symptoms. She was rushed to the hospital. She was in critical condition the pain that was felt that day is indescribable. Doctors let us know there was a lack of oxygen to reach her brain while she was down which caused a tremendous amount of brain damage. They let us know that there was no longer anything they could do and to prepare and plan ahead our fighter was overwhelmed. Our family still had hope and we decided to give her time to see if anything changes. Everyday that’s went by since we preyed for a miracle. For her to wake up say something to us to be able to bring her home. Me as her daughter and the rest of the family are asking for donations for funeral cost. As much as it hurts us to see her in this condition we know we have to be prepared for that moment to come. Started hospice and was removed from the vent on May 17 at 3:00 pm. She’s currently still with us for any questions from family and friends feel free to reach out.
