MARIA MARTIN'S JOURNALISM IN CENTRAL AMERICA

Media interest in stories from Central America historically has ebbs and flows. Through the non-profit GraciasVida Center for Media, Maria Martin has for decades consistently tried to tell those stories that are important for audiences in the U.S. to listen to—in English and in Spanish...no matter what the level of mainstream media interest is. The GVCM and Maria have also trained hundreds of rural journalists—an endeavor we hope to continue.
