Maria Leila Sedilles Hutton

My mom was a brave, courageous, and strong woman. So beautiful. She was such a bright light. Such a joy to be around.

She is a first-generation immigrant moving to the United States from the Philippines and started a family of her own. Giving life to her two sons - Zenas and Zach and her daughter Zuriel.

She loved us so so so much…

She provided so much for us as she went to work as well as furthering her education. She gave us a comfortable life to live. Letting us pursue our dreams while always praying for us. Looking over us and watching us.

My mom was a beautiful woman who dedicated most of her life serving and helping others. Touching the lives and healing so many.

She was an ICU Nurse at Tucson Medical Center for 20 years. Continuing her education and became an MSN-FNP for over a decade.

She was determined. Determined for 25 years to fight the tumors and cancer. Determined to be strong for us. Determined to be here for us.

She tried to continue working throughout her treatments but unfortunately the cancer and tumors were also determined and had metastasized and spread elsewhere.

She was out of work for a couple of months and with exorbitant medical bills and funeral arrangements we are asking for help at this time of need.

I’m so incredibly lucky, grateful and fortunate that I had such a lovely, wonderful and beautiful mom to give me the life I live.

Words cannot express how empty I feel without you here. I feel like a part of me has left. It hurts knowing I won’t be able to see you smile or laugh. I won’t be able to hear you call me your baby girl. I won’t be able to hug you or kiss you or cry to you when I need you.

Not having you here hurts so much… my heart aches…

But I know that you will always be here watching over.
