Maria Inez Quinones' Memorial Fund

With the deepest, we announce the Passing of a Board Member, Mother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Resident, Friend, and Great Advocate for the defenseless.

Maria Inez Quinones went to rest with the Lord on July 30, 2022.

We cannot begin to say all the help she gave to residents as Chairwoman of Alfred E Smith Resident Association Grievance Committee. As President of the Parent Association at PS126M, she led and helped to get justice for all students and participated in raising a school in our community to be a shining star and beacon for the children of the Smith Community. All the parents she assisted by providing quality and loving care to their children as Day Care Provider.

She assisted her fellow Childcare Providers in joining the Union to help them have better salaries, benefits, and rights.

Maria Inez was a simple, humble, and brilliant woman with a smile from her heart. She was strong in her convictions and blunt at times but honest.

Her contributions to this community ensured that residents were informed and represented by working with everyone.

A warrior to the end, she was a Board Member of the Executive Board these last years and made contributions like creating an annual Flea market.
