Help Maria get a car!

Dear Friends,
I’ve set this account up to help Maria get a car.
As some of you know, Maria fled the war in Ukraine nearly two months ago, leaving her family, friends and dog Chico.
Maria chose Canada, encouraged by the support of her boss whose company’s head-quarters reside in Calgary, AB; and by promises of safety, hope for a peaceful life, and the ability to support both her parents and the war-efforts better from afar.
Canada has been very welcoming, but cost of living and prices of food, accommodations, transport, etc. are far more than anticipated.
Maria left her city in Central Ukraine 2 days after war was declared. In doing so, she left her fully paid for, new (to her) Nissan Juke in a friend's driveway, as well as a brand new condo, for which she continues to make payments.
Maria fled to West Ukraine, where she lived in a single dwelling home with 19 others (and 8 pets) for over a month.
No part of this journey has been easy.
Technically an “evacuee” and not a “refugee”, Maria doesn't receive the usual financial govt support, and has been extremely appreciative of the compassionate generosity of Canadians.
Maria has been living with us now for nearly two months. This is working well and we love having her; however, transportation is proving challenging as her company is located out by the airport and requires her in-office.
As most of her cash is tied up in her car and condo back home, Maria’s only option for a vehicle was to get it financed. However, as a newcomer, with no credit history in Canada, she doesn’t qualify for financing via banks nor dealerships.
Consequently, she has spent the last 2 months looking for a safe and reliable vehicle that she could pay for out-right. This has proved impossible however, with current vehicle prices and little cash in the bank.
However, she has found her “unicorn”.
A 2012 Audi Q5 has passed inspection, and at the best price she’s found so far: 16k all in.
As it’s still well over Maria's budget for a non-financed vehicle, Billy and I are lending her the funds. We are reaching out to ask for help in helping her.
Small donations are as gratefully accepted as large ones. Every little bit counts.
