Hi, my name is Eartha Harris. My family and I ask that you please help the family of Maria Richardson with her final expenses. Maria Valentina Richardson, one of the sweetest people in the universe, passed away at 4 am Friday, November 24, 2023, at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, after having been there for three months to strengthen her failing heart.

Maria, age 32, has had heart and other major medical challenges since she was young. Due to this, she was deemed uninsurable, so she had no life insurance to help cover her final expenses. Her mother, Judy, who has faithfully been by Maria’s side at the hospital, is not in a financial position to bury her only dearly loved child.

Maria and her mother are a part of my Bible Study group, and I bear witness that she loves the Lord with everything in her. While we know she is no longer in pain but is at rest in the arms of the Lord, our hearts ache at the prospect of no longer sharing this life with her. We will miss her warm, caring, loving heart and heart melting smile. Maria has been my daughter, Faith’s, very best friend since sixth grade, and is very much a part of our life and family.

Judy has contacted Benny Smith Funeral Home in Salisbury, MD, to make the final arrangements for Maria. The funeral home has quoted $10,000 as the price for those arrangements. Judy does not have it.
