On August 25th, our family was shattered with the tremendous and devastating loss of our mother.

She spent several years quietly and courageously fighting against cancer, and although her willingness to continue was never depleted, her body simply could no longer keep up.

She was a tenacious and strong woman, whom was taken from us much too soon.

No amount of planning or foreshadowing can ever truly prepare you for the loss of a mother and our family is vastly suffering.

María Elena was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister to the many family members that she leaves behind. Among this, she was also a wonderful and spirited friend and confidant to the numerous people who were blessed enough to know her. Our mother was very passionate about family and helping those in need. She touched many people’s lives and her energetic personality will never be forgotten.

Our family is deeply heartbroken as we begin to mourn this immensely painful loss.

We are asking all family and friends to please consider helping us during this time, so that we may provide our mother a proper burial alongside our brother. Any amount goes a long way and we promise to make each and every penny count.

Please help us lay her to rest so she may finally find the peace she always deserved.
