Maria, also known as Carmen, lost her battle with colon cancer on August 6th, in her home, with her family by her side. Carmen was a selfless, kind-hearted, person who knew many people. Several of these people have reached out to us, asking to help with her funeral, and we wanted to allow anyone who was compelled to help to do so. As her wishes go, we will cremate her, and hold a church service. Details about the service will come later, as we still need time to grieve and process the bad news.
