These are Maria's IRISH twins, Lorraine is 11 months old and Rolland is two months old! Other than Rolland being a preemie, they look so similar & look EXACTLY like their Mama! Lorraine has had a few medical issues but her little brother Rolland has many more issues to overcome as a premature/new baby. Both Lorraine and Rolland are celebrated dwarf babies and their mother and grandmother are two of the strongest women I have ever met!

Rolland will be @ St Vincent’s NICU in Indianapolis for @ LEAST 2 more months where he is receiving specialized care. This is more than two hours from Fort Wayne which is where Maria, Deb, and Lorraine make their homes. Anyone who knows them realizes how strong and independent these gals are, but there comes a time when friends and family need to step in and offer support.

The additional costs associated with traveling to and from Indy to be with baby Rolland will add a great deal of cost to their budgets. I hope that we will all rally, give what we can, and support the Hecht family with donations towards the gas, food, and other expenses involved with this journey. Taking this worry away during this stressful time should help take some pressure off of their shoulders.

Deb has such a giving heart and has instilled this in Maria. It will be so nice to turn this giving in their direction for a change and help them out!
