Maria Brill's Memorial Fund

Maria Grimaldo-Brill was a sweet and beautiful woman whose smile and laughter could light up a room. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and made everyone, even other people’s children, feel special and welcome in her home. She left a lasting impression in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

I was one of those people whose lives were touched by Maria’s kindness. During one of the most difficult times in my young life, Maria took me in as she would her own family member, and gave me a place to stay, food to eat, and calm in the midst of my life’s chaos. I will always have fond memories of this time with Maria.

Maria joined her daughter Ana in heaven yesterday morning. She passed away in the presence of her daughter Bernice and son-in-law Dustyn. Maria’s passing was too sudden for Maria’s loved ones who wish they could have had more time to say goodbye. I wish I could have said goodbye.

With a heavy heart, I am asking for your help. Please help her heartbroken daughter Bernice join her loved ones in Tucson in order to give her precious mom the proper memorial that she deserves. It was Maria’s wish to have her ashes placed with the ashes of her beloved, daughter Ana, who predeceased her, in Tucson. There are not enough funds for Bernice to travel from Arkansas to lay her mom to rest with her sister on her salary alone. Bernice must also take care of all the tasks one must do when their cherished loved one dies. Please consider donating as much as you can so Maria’s wishes can be honored as well as her memory.
