Dear Friends, Family and the Gresham community, 

On Thursday, February 4th, Heaven gained another angel as our dear friend, Maria Biesterfeld, lost her battle with cancer. 

Maria was a wife to KC, mother to Sarah, Krista and Jacob and grandmother to Kaden, Lilly and Elijah.  Outside of her family she was a friend to many, including the many students she loved working with at Gresham HS. 

Her battle with cancer was short, but she fought until the very end.  Because of the short amount of time since her diagnosis, the family is facing the unexpected cost of funeral expenses.  

Maria had a huge heart and always looked for ways to help and support her community.  Now it's our turn to return the favor and support her family during this difficult time.  Every donation will get us closer to putting Maria to rest peacefully where she belongs. 

It is in these times of loss and sadness when you see people coming together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide. We also encourage everyone to keep their family in their thoughts and prayers.
