HELP SUPPORT ABERDEEN'S BEST WAITRESS!!

On November 2nd, Maria was rushed to Avera St Luke’s Emergency Room because of extreme abdominal pain. Preliminary scans showed her colon had been perforated so she was sent off to surgery.

Maria’s surgery ended with part of her colon being removed and led to further revelations. Spots found on her liver and many lymph nodes in the area has led to the diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

After Maria recovers from her abdominal surgery, which has had a set back, she plans to undergo further scans to see if the Cancer has spread into any other areas. The family has met with an Oncologist and they plan for her to undergo Chemotherapy and do what it takes to beat this thing!

Maria has worked as a waitress at the Flame restaurant serving the community of Aberdeen for 40 years. Besides the Flame, Maria has worked as a Housekeeper at St. Mary’s Parish for over a decade, not to mention all of the other part time jobs she has done throughout the years to take care of her family.

Maria has been married to Paul Anderson, Sexton/Caretaker and Maintenance to St. Mary’s Cemetery and Church for 27 years. They have one child, William, along with 4 Grandchildren they love very much.

With these recent events, Maria’s ability to work her normal 60+ hours a week has come to a screeching halt.. this has cut their income to less than half for the foreseeable future. The Andersons are now facing two hefty size, back-to-back medical deductibles.

This Go Fund Me will be used to help pay off their medical deductibles and any extra will be used to offset their loss of income they have experienced. Any donations would help get the worry of financials off of my parents plate for the time being and focus on what is truly important, getting well.
