Maria and Jared's Last Hope For a Baby Lucci

Donation protected
Hello family, friends, and others out there with big hearts. I created this GoFundMe page on behalf of two very deserving, loving, and kind people, Maria and Jared Lucci. They need the help of more than a village to have a child. Maria has been my best friend for 24 years, so it’s safe to say I know her very well! She is one of the most generous, kind, and big-hearted people I have ever known.

She and Jared have been married for over 16 years, something I greatly admire. She has incredible faith and puts God, family, and friends first. She has stood by her husband as an Air Force Wife and endured seven stressful deployments to serve our great country. Maria and Jared’s dream has always been to become parents. All the moving, time apart, infertility struggles, and health issues have made this extremely difficult.

In 2011 after a deployment, they finally decided to have a family. They were overjoyed, but it was short-lived. As they drove home back to New Jersey from visiting family in Ohio, Maria went into premature labor in Pennsylvania. Noah was born at 24 weeks, the weekend of Thanksgiving. Their precious son only survived ten days in the NICU before going home to be with the Lord. The worst thing that could ever happen to a pregnant couple.

The biggest obstacle Maria and Jared must face right now is time. Maria was told that her egg count is low, and she has, at most, 6-7 months left to do a retrieval. With Jared deploying again in December, this now must happen within the next couple of weeks. The first half of these payments (at roughly $15k) must be paid as a deposit for IVF surgery ASAP. The following $15-25k must follow the day of surgery before December. Their military health insurance does not cover any cost of infertility treatment. Maria and Jared had even attempted to sell their home for several months, but the market had taken a turn that was not in their favor. Along with Jared’s deployment nearing, they were forced to remove the listing and the possibility that having their baby would always be a dream.

If you know Maria and Jared, I guarantee they have touched your hearts and lives in some way. They are both a light in this world. They are such positive, genuine, happy, and caring people despite all the pain and grief they’ve been through. What they desire most, above all else, is to have a child. Through these past 16 years, they’ve suffered many miscarriages and heartbreaks. Miscarriage number six happened this past January, just a couple of weeks before Maria’s birthday. Although they strongly believed in having a child naturally, they decided it was time to seek medical help.

As most people know, IVF is very expensive, and one treatment easily costs an upward of $50k. With that being said, we are trying to raise money for them to fulfill this goal of becoming parents and not let them give up on this hope. It seems like robbery for those who desperately want children, but unfortunately, it is the reality for many who want to fulfill this dream.

God has put having children on their hearts, so if IVF is not successful, they will seek adoption or surrogacy should finances allow. I firmly believe that Maria and Jared would be amazing parents. If surrogacy should become an option, I have even offered to be their surrogate to help save them those additional costs because I genuinely believe my best friend will be the most incredible mother and deserves that chance with all my heart.

Maria and Jared did not want to ask for help from anyone and thought about just letting go of this hope and dream. After starting this treatment and putting $10k into this IVF journey thus far, I couldn’t stand by and let these people I care about give up and not try to do something about it.

I believe there are many people rooting for Maria and Jared, who love them and want them to succeed. I know many who probably may have only had a glimpse of their struggle through the years, as Maria has always been careful not to burden others with their problems, but I feel that if we are to love one another as God asks us to, why shouldn’t we help if we are able? I think others besides me care for them and want to help make their dream come true and see them finally succeed in having a family and bringing their baby home.

Please consider donating what you can, and if you can’t give a monetary gift, please pray for them, and repost/share their GOFUNDME page. Remember, every dollar counts, so any amount, no matter how little, means something! There are so many generous strangers out there who their story might touch. If you might know some generous people who have gone through the same story, want to support a military family out of patriotism, or want to see this beautiful couple succeed, please keep sharing this page! I know Maria and Jared would be so thankful.
